Teen Mentorship
When we work together, I’ll help you slow down, tune into what’s happening inside, and find the part of you that feels steady and wise. This isn’t about being told what to do or being analyzed. It’s about building trust with yourself and learning new ways to take care of your feelings. You’ll develop skills you can use in real life—like calming your nervous system, understanding your reactions, and speaking from the part of you that feels centered. This space is yours: honest, real, and respectful of who you are and what you’re going through.
Empowering Teens Through Healing and Growth.
We are living in an era of constant stimulation, digital comparison, and increasing disconnection from ourselves and others. Rates of anxiety, depression, and exposure to overwhelming experiences are rising, while opportunities for genuine community, embodied presence, and time in nature are steadily decreasing. Because of this, meaningful growth begins with re-establishing a sense of internal safety, self-trust, and belonging. This includes supporting you in getting to know the different parts of yourself, developing emotional regulation skills, and learning how to feel grounded and connected in your daily life—both within your inner world and in your relationships.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps teens understand that everyone has different “parts” inside them—some parts feel scared, angry, or sad, while others are protective, brave, or curious. IFS teaches teens to listen to these parts, understand their needs, and help them work together, so they can feel more balanced and in control of their emotions.
For teens, IFS therapy can be especially helpful because it:
• Improves emotional awareness and regulation, helping teens manage anxiety, anger, or sadness
• Builds self-compassion and inner confidence, fostering a stronger sense of self
• Supports healthy coping skills for school, friendships, and family life
• Encourages self-discovery and personal growth, helping teens navigate challenges with resilience.
IFS therapy gives teens the tools to connect with themselves, make sense of their feelings, and respond to life in a calmer, more confident way, all while creating a safe space for self-exploration and growth.

Judson teaches mindfulness and regulation techniques to help manage stress, strong emotions, and everyday challenges. By practicing simple breathing exercises, body awareness, and grounding tools, teens can feel calmer, think more clearly, and respond to situations with confidence. These skills help build resilience, improve focus, and make it easier to navigate school, friendships, and life with more balance and ease.

Judson believes that nature is a powerful partner in healing and growth. Through eco-therapy and nature-based practices, teens are guided to reconnect with the natural world and with themselves in a safe, supportive space. Spending time outdoors—whether walking through forests, sitting by a lake, or exploring natural landscapes—helps teens slow down, release stress, and tune into their body and emotions.
This work is especially impactful during adolescence, a time of rapid change and emotional intensity. By combining nature experiences with somatic awareness and gentle guidance, teens develop resilience, emotional regulation, and a deeper sense of inner calm. Eco-therapy supports them in feeling grounded, empowered, and more connected—to themselves, to others, and to the living world around them.
Judson helps teens discover that healing isn’t just internal—it’s alive in the earth, the trees, the water, and the quiet spaces where they can safely explore and grow.

Gestalt therapy helps teens be fully present with themselves and their experiences, noticing their thoughts, feelings, and body sensations as they happen. This approach encourages self-awareness, emotional expression, and personal responsibility in a safe and supportive space.
For teens, Gestalt therapy can be especially powerful because it helps them:
• Understand and process strong emotions like anxiety, anger, or sadness
• Identify patterns in behavior and relationships that may be holding them back
• Develop healthier ways to communicate and connect with others
• Build confidence, self-trust, and resilience in navigating daily life
By focusing on the present moment and engaging with their experiences directly, teens learn to express themselves authentically, manage stress, and feel more grounded and empowered in their everyday lives.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps teens navigate life’s challenges with clarity, courage, and flexibility. Rather than trying to push away uncomfortable thoughts or feelings, ACT teaches teens to accept their inner experiences, notice them without judgment, and focus on taking actions that align with their values.
For teens, ACT can be especially helpful because it:
• Reduces anxiety, stress, and negative self-talk by changing the way they relate to difficult thoughts and emotions
• Builds resilience and coping skills for school, friendships, and family challenges
• Encourages values-driven action, helping teens make choices that reflect who they want to be
• Improves emotional awareness and self-regulation, creating a stronger sense of inner calm and confidence
ACT gives teens the tools to live more fully in the present, face challenges with flexibility, and take steps toward the life they truly want, even when emotions feel intense or overwhelming.
